The Toronto Rock have placed Tom Schreiber in the National Lacrosse League’s COVID-19 protocol.

Due to player confidentiality and privacy, the league or its teams do not disclose the specifics about why an individual is in COVID protocol.

Schreiber joins a growing list of NLL players sidelined for the same reason: Jeff Teat, Cory Highfield, Corey Small, Alex Crepinsek and Mitch Wilde were all recently added as well.

The Rock’s high-scoring forward had arguably been the team’s top offensive player over their first two weeks of the season. Schreiber had registered 8 goals during Toronto’s two games so far this year. The rest of the Rock roster have just 9 goals over that same two-game stretch.

Toronto hosts the undefeated Philadelphia Wings tonight at the FirstOntario Centre (7pm ET).
