Earlier today, the Toronto Rock confirmed that forward Dan Dawson had been moved to the team’s injured-reserve list. Details of Dawson’s injury were not shared in the team’s announcement.

Had Dawson’s played in tonight’s game against the Warriors in Vancouver (10pm ET), the National Lacrosse League legend would have passed John Tavares for most regular season games played. Dawson is also two assists shy of passing Tavares for that regular-season record as well.

Adam Jay, who has been sidelined for almost two-full months since sustaining an upper-body injury against the Halifax Thunderbirds, has been added to the Rock’s active roster.

After tonight’s test in Vancouver, the Rock’s next game won’t be until March 26th when the team hosts the Georgia Swarm at the FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton.

Earlier this year, Dawson passed Colin Doyle for fourth on the all-time NLL goals list (933 presently), and securely sits second overall in points (1,471 and counting).
