The Lax Mag has learned that the Georgia Swarm have moved forward Lyle Thompson to the team’s injured-reserve list just hours before their game against the Toronto Rock at the FirstOntario Centre (5pm ET).

Thompson, who leads the league in goals and has easily been one of the season’s top players, had never missed a game during his NLL career before today.

In 13 games this season, Thompson has 39 goals and 41 assists, his 77 loose balls tops amongst forwards in the league.

Update (Mar. 26, 2022 3:30pm ET): The roster move has been made official on the NLL transaction page, “The Georgia Swarm have placed Lyle Thompson on the Injured Reserve List from the Active Roster.” Travis Longboat has been added to the Swarm’s active roster.
