2024 NLL Player Rankings: 30-60-90 Club Edition
After the first several weeks of the 2023-24 National Lacrosse League season are complete, The Lax Mag will publish a weekly NLL Player Ranking, examining the league’s Top 30 players from Week 1 right up until the end of the regular season.
TLM’s Top 30 NLL Player Rankings have nothing to do with reputations, career resumes, success in past seasons, whether we know a player personally, recognizing deserving players who’ve previously been passed over, player popularity, the size of their social media following, whether you slide into their DMs, or who others around the league tell us should get hype.
Our rankings, which only take into consideration a player’s performance for the current regular season, will be calculated using both our star-rating system after each game, but also a player’s season-long statistical position (based on per-game average, not full-season totals) across the league. Only players who have played two-thirds of their team’s games will qualify.

A few seasons ago, we pulled every player in history that had achieved 30-60-90 status: 30 goals, 60 assists and 90 loose balls in a single NLL regular season.
There weren’t many.
Last year, however, more players than ever crashed the 30-60-90 Club with six new members allowed in, eight in total achieving that really rare top-of-the-leaderboard trifecta. The statistical slash highlights not only players that are dominant in the league’s two main offensive digits (goals and assists), but also those that outwork and outthink the opposition in order to regain possession with a season-long LB haul most defenders wish they bagged.
The two players that repeated 30-60-90 excellence last year were Jeff Teat and Dhane Smith. Teat has registered two full regulars seasons in the NLL, both of which he found 30-60-90 success. Smith sank his fourth 30-60-90 season last year, the most any one player has ever recorded.
Below, check out the 17 players that have had 30-60-90 seasons.

While there are not quite as many as eight on track currently climbing to 30-60-90 heights, based on their per-game stats spread over a full season, five NLLers are on pace to get there this year. Shocker: Teat is the most likely to do it again. While most of the names with numbers worthy of 30-60-90 Club entry right now would be repeats, Jesse King, who missed making it in 2022 by a single goal, is amongst those with numbers trending to that lofty level this season.
Likely 30-60-90 Seasons
Jeff Teat (New York) 59/63/103
Connor Fields (Rochester) 52/70/158
Jesse King (Calgary) 34/82/98
Wes Berg (San Diego) 38/70/104
Will Malcom (Panther City) 38/70/104
There are a handful of other players that, at least right now, have per-game averages in one or two those three significant stats that would leave them just short of making the grade. With more than half a season to go for some, however, catching up shouldn’t be an issue.
Smith had just three goals over Buffalo’s first five this year, but has started connecting with more frequency, netting eight over the Bandits’ last four games. If Albany’s Alex Simmons can make it (right now his averages would leave him just six assists and four loosies shy), he would become just the second rookie to ever register a 30-60-90 season. Who is the only first-year player to do it? You had to ask. Teat, of course.
Maybe 30-60-90 Seasons
Josh Byrne (Buffalo) 46/78/78
Dhane Smith (Buffalo) 22/100/106
Mitch Jones (Philadelphia) 27/88/122
Austin Staats (San Diego) 56/52/104
Clarke Petterson (Halifax) 41/58/96
Joe Resetarits (Philadelphia) 38/59/86
Alex Simmons (Albany) 42/54/86
Lyle Thompson (Georgia) 45/47/104
Andrew Kew (Georgia) 36/54/99
Ethan Walker (Albany) 38/52/92
Not surprisingly, players that have cracked the 30-60-90 Club over the past few seasons also rank really high in The Lax Mag’s NLL Player Rankings, an ordering system that takes into account an abundance of statistical rankings across the league (scroll back up to the top of this article for a full breakdown of how we calculate our Top 30). With that said, Toronto Rock goaltender Nick Rose takes over the top spot in our weekly Top 30 again. As mentioned in last week’s NLL Player Rankings post (it was a goalies-masquerading-as-MVP theme), Rose has ranked no lower than number two in 2024.
